If the world staged a contest for the most cute animals, Siberian flying squirrel definitely would have received the Audience Award. Just look at these touching eyed inhabitants of the forest, as if coming down to us from the Disney cartoon frames. These squirrels seemed to work the camera. Are not they lovely?
1. Photographer Masatsugu Ohashi took these amazing photos on the Japanese island of Hokkaido.
2. These are very shy animals, they are nocturnal, and in winter can sleep for days. They love the trees, especially those that woodpeckers leave holes, ideal for comfortable nests.
3. "Proteins each year make nests in the tree, when winter comes. All in the area, I met five protein ", - says the photographer.

6. These squirrels prefer pine, cedar or spruce with abandoned hollows that made woodpeckers.
