Each species of animal occupies a special niche in the environment in which this same species survives as he can. Well, in this case, wild mountain goats took a most strange and almost inaccessible to other animals niche - high and dangerous mountain cliffs. These goats are not crazy after all these steep mountains provide them with many benefits, including protection from ground predators, the food delicious and minerals that they love to lick.
1. The harsh wind blows these cliffs sweep snow and bare coarse grass and mineral salts, which are these goats true delicacy.
2. Many of the goats were photographed here in the US Rockies.
3. This kind of is actually a mountain antelope, but some "climbers" in these photos, for example, IBEX and chamois, are representatives of this kind of goat.
4. All of these animals have special adaptations that allow them to roam the steep slopes and cliffs of its mountain habitat.
5. In contrast to the horses' hooves, hoof these goats hoof, so the animals can better distribute the weight.
6. The hooves are soft in the middle, while the edges are hard and solid, allowing the animals "grab" for any, even the tiniest cracks or uneven rocky surface.
7. Some of them even have hard and rough pads of skin between the hooves that help them better grasp at the rock surface.
